Obituary of Gerald Jankowski
Gerald "Jerry" Edward Jankowski, 71, of Howell passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at home. Mr. Jankowski was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Staten Island until moving to Howell 32 years ago. Jerry was the senior tree trimmer for the Howell Township Department of Public Works for the past 20 years. Prior to that he was a former Grounds Crew worker for Eastern Airlines. Jerry enjoyed volunteering with A.B.C. and Snaps, organizations for stray animals. He was a former member of the Howell Grange. Jerry was a proud American.
Mr. Jankowski is survived by his childhood sweetheart, his wife of 41 years, Diane Jankowski of Howell; and a daughter, KeriAnn Jankowski and her fiancé Justin Ardito of Howell.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, January 20, 2010 and Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 434 Aldrich Road, Howell on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM. Interment is private.
