Obituary of Robert Cecere

Robert A. Cecere, 75, of Jackson passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Cecere was born in Newark, raised in Glen Ridge and had lived in Colts Neck for 36 years, before settling to Jackson three years ago. Robert was a graduate of Newark College of Engineering and was a civil engineer for CMX, Manalapan until his retirement in May 2009. He was the former part owner of Donald Alworth Contracting Company, West Caldwell from high school to 1989. Mr. Cecere is survived by his wife of 52 years, Helen Patricia Cecere, of Jackson; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Robert Anthony Cecere, Jr. and his wife Denise of Rumson, John Cecere of Jackson, and Craig Cecere and his wife Vicki of Perkasie, PA; one daughter: Helen Elizabeth Cecere of Hunterdon; Five grandchildren: Hillary, Desiree, Mac, Lily, and Ryan; and one brother: Raymond Cecere of Patterson. There will be a receiving of family and friends at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Saturday, January 23, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 4:30 PM.
