Obituary of Michael Faresich
Michael Faresich, 96, of the Villages, Howell Township, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010. Mr. Faresich was born in Chiusi, Italy and came to the United States in 1942, settled in West New York before moving to the Villages in1975. He worked for the maintenance department in the Hudson County Park Commission, Jersey City until his retirement. Michael then worked for the Freehold Township Police Department for 15 years, retiring in 1993. He had a love for gardening and had a big green thumb. Michael was a member of the Villages' Men's Club, where he helped build the Bocce Court and was a past league champion. Michael was a genuine, good guy who loved his family and will be missed by all.
Mr. Faresich was predeceased by his two brothers, and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Rina; his daughter, Lia and her husband, Don Haneke of Freehold; his granddaughter, Lisa and her husband, Michael Calabrese of Brick; his grandson, David Haneke and his wife, Melissa of Toms River; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 8:30 AM until his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in St. Catharine's Cemetery and Mausoleum, Sea Girt.
