Obituary of Anthony Czapla
Anthony Czapla, 96, of Howell passed away on Sunday, February 28th, at home. Mr. Czapla was born in Tarasowka, Poland, came to the U.S. in 1949, settling in Howell in 1958. Mr. Czapla was a parishioner of St. Veronica Catholic Church, Howell, and a veteran of the Polish Army. He was a Past President of the Jersey Shore Polish American Assoc., Brick; also a Past President of the Polish Cultural Foundation, Clark; and a member of the Polish Children's Heart Line, Toms River. Mr. Czapla was a Past Vice President of the Polish American Congress, Clark; and a member and volunteer at the Howell Senior Center for over 20 years.
He was a Process Engineer for 3M Company, Freehold, for 28 years retiring in 1979.
He was predeceased by his wife, Adle, in 1990. Mr. Czapla is survived by 2 sisters, Maria Malenczak and Adela Gurgorewicz and two nieces all of Poland. He will also be missed by a very close and endearing friend.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Friday, March 5th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM with his funeral service at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
