Obituary of Edna Hilerio Lugo

Edna Lydia Hilerio Lugo, 57, of Howell passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Edna was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and settled to Brooklyn in 1968. She had lived in Lakewood, before moving to Howell most recently. As a young woman, Edna worked in the garment district in New York City with the I.L.G.W.U. She is survived by her husband, Miguel Suarez of Howell; two sons: Miguel Suarez, Jr. and his wife, Carole of Jackson; and Roberto Suarez and his wife, Dary of Howell; one daughter: Edna Suarez of Lakewood; and seven grandchildren: Brandon Angel Suarez, Paige Ann Fredrick, Christian Lee Suarez, Tiffany Suarez, Roberto Suarez, Jr., Darielis Batista, and Eric Fernandez. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, March 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 10:00 AM funeral mass on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Christ United Methodist Church, 678 Fifth Street, Lakewood. Interment will follow.
