Obituary of Dorothy Symons

Dorothy M. Symons, 90, of Farmingdale passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at home. Dorothy was born in Newark and had lived in Kenilworth before settling to Farmingdale in 1973. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 1992. She is survived by two sons: Richard C. Symons and his spouse, Beverly of Dayton, and James M. Symons and his spouse, Billie of Bradley Beach; one daughter: Kathleen Symons of Bradley Beach; four granddaughters: Holly and her husband, Joseph Kenny, Jennifer, Shannon and Jamie Symons; and two great grandchildren: Lindsey and Alexander Kenny. The family will receive friends at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 9:00 AM funeral mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, West & North Main Street, Farmingdale on Friday, April 9, 2010. Interment is private.
