Obituary of Anthony Gimello
Anthony R Gimello, 26, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully on Saturday,
April 17, 2010 with his loving family by his side. He was taken from us too soon. Born in Freehold Township, he was a lifelong resident of Freehold. He was a 2002 graduate of Freehold Township High School, he attended Brookdale Community College and was looking forward to continuing his education this fall.
He worked most recently as a service technician for a residential developer and was also a caddy at Metedeconk National Golf course. Anthony loved to play golf with his grandfather, "the only person in my life whose presence could brighten an already sunny fairway" and playing basketball with his buddies. He was an avid Yankees and 49ers fan.
Anthony also had a passion for animals and loved his pet dogs. His loving eyes, contagious laugh and caring smile will be missed. He loved life with a touch of mischief, tease and sensitivity that was his alone. Anthony was a loving son, grandson, nephew and cousin and always a loyal friend. He was a very caring and generous person. Anthony was kind and gentle and grandma will miss his great back rubs and his hugs.
He was predeceased by his grandmother, Pauline Carstenson, and his Uncle Chris. Anthony leaves behind his beloved parents, Laura and Tim Carstenson of Freehold Township; his maternal grandparents: Loraine and her husband, Bill Day of Allentown, and Dominick Balistreri and his wife, Bonnie of Monroe; his great-grandparents: George and Diane Rodrigs of Jackson; his Uncle Matthew Balistreri of Brick; two great aunts, Diane Steets and Mary Mazza; all of the Carstensons' Aunts, Uncles and Cousins; 2nd Cousins, Brandon and Garret Steets and his closest cousins: Joey, Cary, Justin and Tabetha; the love of his life and girlfriend, Kristin Clemente of Sayreville and their dogs, Remi and Misty; and all of his friends and extended family.
