Obituary of Jean DeRosa
Jean Marcario DeRosa, 82, of Union Beach passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at the Regency Park Nursing Home, Hazlet. Mrs. DeRosa was born and had lived in Oakwood Section of Staten Island before moving to Silvermead, Freehold and then to Union Beach four years ago. Jean worked in the classified department at the Staten Island Advance in the 1970's. She enjoyed spending time cooking for family and friends. Jean loved the NY Yankees and Tom Jones. She took pleasure in telling family stories and shared her sense of humor with everyone she knew. Jean created an annual Easter Tree which she decorated with her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. DeRosa is survived by: her husband, Joseph DeRosa of Union Beach; three sons, Nicholas Marcario of Union Beach, Mark Marcario of Beaumont, California, and Joseph DeRosa of Port St. Lucie, Florida; two daughters, Laura Marcario of Moreno Valley, California and Theresa Rutledge of Port Richmond, NY; six grandchildren; three great grandchild; a brother, Charles Palladino of Toms River and four nieces and nephews.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Sunday, May 2, 2010 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 9:00 AM for her rite of committal followed by her 10:00 AM funeral mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
