Obituary of Nola Bliss Jones

Nola Anne Bliss Jones,75, of Howell, passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Mrs. Jones was born in Gillingham, Kent, England before moving to Howell in 1968. She co-owned and operated Ballroom Dance Studios until 1998. Nola and her late husband, Derek, were dancing champions in England and when coming to America, they opened the Arthur Murray Dance Studios on the Eastern Coast. Mrs. Jones also taught Wednesday night dance class at the Freehold Knights of Columbus, as well as offered private dance lessons. She was also a hostess and trainer at Applebees, Howell since 2001. Mrs. Jones was predeceased by her husband, Derek William Jones, in 2000. Nola is survived by two daughters, Lindsay Anne Don of Howell, and Heidi Lee and her husband, Paul Bennett of Freehold Township; and four grandchildren, Amy Bennett, Elyse Bennett, Angela Don, and Robert Don. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 9:00 AM for her rite of committal followed by her 10:00 AM funeral mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
