Obituary of Lierka Dratsenko

Lierka M. Dratsenko, 92, of Howell passed away on Friday, May 21, 2010 at Jersey Shore Care, Eatontown. Mrs. Dratsenko was born in Zagreb, Croatia and came to the United States in 1954, where she had lived in Lakewood before settling to Howell. While living in Croatia, she attended the Music Academy in Zagreb, Croatia and also taught Slovick Languages in Croatia. After coming to America, she was employed as a typist at the University of Indiana for Foreign Languages. Since moving to Howell, Mrs. Dratsenko was employed by the Howell Board of Education in the main office, and later worked as a bus driver for Howell. She was predeceased her husband, Jury D. Dratsenko in 1991. Mrs. Dratsenko is survived by her two sons, Alexander and Paul Dratsenko, both of Howell; and her daughter, Irene Dratsenko of Asbury Park. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 8:00 AM until her 10:30 AM funeral mass at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, Madison Avenue, Lakewood.
