Obituary of Timothy Griffin

Timothy "Tim" Griffin, 60, of Point Pleasant passed away on Monday, May 31, 2010 at Ocean Medical Center at Brick after a courageous battle with cancer. Tim was born in Huntington, West Virginia, and was raised and had lived in Farmingdale, before settling to Point Pleasant. He worked for Garden State Precast, Wall Township. Tim was predeceased by his father, Leonard J. Griffin. He is survived by two sons, Joseph W. Griffin of Pittsburgh, PA and Dakota J. Griffin of Point Pleasant; two grandchildren, Joseph Jr., and Julie Mae; his mother, Shirley Griffin of Farmingdale; three brothers, Michael Gallagher of Farmingdale, Billy Joe Griffin of Port Charlotte, FL and Steven L. Griffin of Farmingdale and one sister, Sharon Whatley of Santa Ynez, CA, and many nieces and nephews. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the funeral home on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
