Obituary of Patrick Horan

Patrick Aidan Horan, 76, of Howell passed away on Friday, June 4, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Mr. Horan was born in Ballinrobe, County Mayo, Ireland and had lived in Brooklyn before settling to Howell in 1969. He worked security for CentraState Medical Center, Freehold for 14 years, retiring in 2006. Prior to that, he was a reservation supervisor for Eastern Airlines, Iselin for 33 years, retiring in 1989. Mr. Horan was a United States Army Veteran serving between the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was a member of the Brooklyn Shamrocks and the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Horan is survived by his wife, A. Vera Horan of Howell; two sons: Aidan Horan of Howell, and Sean Horan and his wife, Kathy of Stony Point, NY; two daughters: Kathy and her husband, Kevin Healy of Nesconset, NY and Jennifer and her husband, Brian Pieloch of Columbus, NJ; his grandchildren: Meghan, Brendan, Shannon, and Nolan Healy of Nesconset, NY, Aidan and Connor Horan of Howell, NJ, Maggie and Liam Horan of Stony Point, NY, and Jack and Riley Pieloch of Columbus, NJ; and his siblings back in Ireland, Billy, Maura, Frank, Con and Carmel. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, June 7, 2010 and Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 10:00 AM for his rite of committal, followed by his 11:00 AM funeral mass at St. Veronica's Catholic Church, 4215 Route 9 North, Howell NJ. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
