Obituary of James Fusco
James Fusco, 93, of the Villages, Freehold passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at home. He was born in Brooklyn and lived there his whole life until moving to the Villages in 1985. Mr. Fusco retired as a color maker from F.H. Levey, Brooklyn after 32 Years. In retirement, he worked for the NYC Transit as an Assistant Station Supervisor at the Transit Museum. Mr. Fusco was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold. He was also a volunteer who founded the Parent Association for the Dynamite Youth Center ( a drug rehab for youth), Brooklyn. He was also a life member of the Italian American Association, Brooklyn.
Mr. Fusco was predeceased by his first wife, Julianne and a sister, Sara Williams. He is survived by his wife, Regina Fusco of Freehold; two sons: James E. Fusco and his wife, Christine of Manhattan; and William A. Fusco and his wife, Dolores of Belle Harbor, NY; a daughter: Judith E. Friedmann and her husband, Rolf of Freehold; two step-sons: Stephen J. Sullivan and his wife, Donna of Wantagh, NY; and Eugene P. Sullivan of Freehold; a step-daughter: Marion A. Brady and her husband, Michael of Manalapan; one sister: Anna Perrotti of Brooklyn; 12 grandchildren: Larsen, Daniel, Eric, Gloria, Brian, Christine, Michael, Jacklyn, Devyn, Nicholas, Olivia and Liam; and two great grandchildren: James and Anderson.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM and Monday, June 14, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his 10:30 AM Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 15, 2010at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold, NJ. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of James may be made to Dynamite Youth Center, Julianne Larsen Fusco Scholarship Fund, 1830 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11230 and would be appreciated.
