Obituary of Filomena Fusco
Filomena Fusco, 88, of Howell passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Mrs. Fusco was born in Hibbing, MN and was raised in New Brighton, S.I. and had lived in West Brighton, S.I. before moving to Howell in 1981. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Fusco was a founding member of St. Bernardino Women's Society, New Brighton. Filomena was a former member of the P.T.A at PS 45 and a former active volunteer for the Staten Island Boy's Football League. She was a former member of the Howell First Aid Woman's Auxiliary.
Mrs. Fusco was predeceased by her husband, Pietro Fusco and two brothers, John and Angelo DiSarro. She is survived by her son: Daniel Fusco and his wife, Eleanor of Howell; two daughters: Mary Jo Kitsos and her husband, Thomas of Bethesda, MD; and Christine Becaccio and her husband, Thomas of Toms River; three granddaughters: Danielle Moore and her husband, Edward of Jackson; Allison Fusco of Howell; and Virginia Becaccio of Cilffwood; three great grandchildren: Travis, Daniel, and Gabriella; one brother: Albert DiSarro of Delaware; and two sisters: Carmela Aiello of California and Maria Alfano of Dongan Hills, S.I.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township, New Jersey on Tuesday , June 29, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island.
