Obituary of Manuel Favazza

Manuel Favazza, 87, of Jackson passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at home. Mr. Favazza was born in Manhattan and had lived in Toms River before moving to Jackson three years ago. Until his retirement in 1986, Manuel was a court reporter for the Brooklyn Criminal Court System for 25 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII. Mr. Favazza was predeceased by his son, Manny Favazza in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Mary Favazza of Jackson; one son and two daughters-in-law, Dennis Favazza and his wife, Karen of Freehold Township and Janice Giggenback Favazza of New Brunswick; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Anthony Favazza of Staten Island, NY; and one sister, Millie Palermo of Lakewood. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, September 13, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 8:30 AM for his rite of committal followed by his 9:30 AM funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 Mc Lean Street, Freehold.
