Obituary of Elizabeth Rodgers

Elizabeth "Betty" M. Rodgers, 87, of Howell, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Bartley Health Care, Jackson, NJ. Mrs. Rodgers was born in Linden and had lived in Rahway before moving to Howell in 1968. Mrs. Rodgers was a secretary with Hoffman-Koos, Eatontown, for 25 years retiring in 1988. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rahway. She will be remembered for her loving kind spirit and her heart of gold. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Rodgers, Sr., in 1974, and a son, Herbert Rodgers, Jr., in 1972. She is survived by a son, Will Rodgers, Sr. of Howell, and two grandchildren, William Rodgers, Jr. of Farmingdale and Candice Rodgers of Howell. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ, on Friday, September 17, 2010, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
