Obituary of Thomas Barbuto

Thomas M. Barbuto, 85, of The Villages passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010 at home. Mr. Barbuto was born and had lived in Brooklyn and Manalapan before moving to The Villages 16 years ago. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II in the European Theater with the 87th Infantry. Mr. Barbuto was the past post commander of the V.F.W., Vincent F. Atene Post # 4740, Brooklyn. He was a member of the Men's club in the Villages, Howell. Thomas is survived by his wife, Sadie Barbuto of The Villages; one son, Anthony "Buster" Barbuto of Marlboro; three daughters: Elena Groenewold of Manalapan, Darlene Wiese of Manalapan, and Susan Terraghi of Manalapan; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, John Barbuto of New Jersey and Joe Barbuto of Farmingdale, Long Island; and one sister, Jeanie Tesriero of Barnegat. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, September 20, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM with his service to follow at 8:30 PM. Inurnment will take place at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.
