Obituary of Gladys Ascough
Gladys M. Ascough, 87, of Farmingdale, passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Care One at Jackson. Gladys was born in Farmingdale and was a life long resident. She retired as the Tax Assessor and Treasurer for Howell Township. Prior to that, Gladys was the former tax assessor for Farmingdale.
She had a love for traveling and enjoyed her trips to Atlantic City. Gladys had a passion for all aspects of country music.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur and her brother, George Patterson. Gladys is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Mary Ascough of Farmingdale; three grandchildren, Julia Ascough, Michael Ascough and his wife, Jamie and Matthew Ascough; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Patterson.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, October 4, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.
