Obituary of Patricia McKeown
Patricia A. McKeown, 73, of the Clarksburg section of Millstone Township passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. McKeown was born in Teaneck, raised in Elmwood Park and had lived in Edison before moving to Clarksburg in 1969. Patricia graduated from Lodi High School, Class of 1955 as well as Patterson State College, Class of 1959. After 42 years of teaching, She retired in 2001 as a 4th and 5th grade teacher from the Millstone Township School System, where she was also the teacher of the Gifted and Talented Program for three years and was known for her science table. Mrs. McKeown was a devoted and optomistic teacher who was named Teacher of the Year from 1990-1991. Along with her husband, Patricia traveled near and far buying antiques for their antique shop.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gordon L. McKeown of Clarksburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosemarie and Frank Schwindinger of the Kendall Park Section of South Brunswick; two nephews, William Schwindinger and his wife, Kathleen, and Timothy Schwindinger and his wife, Kathleen Mullen; one niece, Nancy Sears; two great nephews, Kenneth and Daniel; and three great nieces, Christina, Julie, and Patricia.
