Obituary of Sylvio DaSilva
Sylvio DaSilva, 75, of Jackson passed away at home on Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Sylvio was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and came to the U.S. in 1964 settling in Newark before moving to Jackson in 1987. He was a member of Local 472 and had worked for Fletcher Creamer, Hackensack and Bill Jim, Jackson.
Sylvio was predeceased by his wife, Maria and a brother, Augusto. He is survived by three daughters: Rosa Goncalves and her husband, Paul of Jackson, Regina Estanqueiro and her husband, Antonio of Howell, and Raquel Villa and her husband Eduardo of Freehold; six grandchildren: Marcus Goncalves, Patricia Togan and her husband, Marlon, Daniel Estanqueiro and his wife, Ann, Stephanie Estanqueiro, Katarina Villa and Lukas Villa; two great grandchildren: Justin Togan and Nathan Estanqueiro; two brothers: Armando DaSilva and his wife Rosa of Newark and Oswaldo DaSilva and his wife, Liberdade of East Brunswick; and one sister, Maria Salqueiro and her husband, Manuel of Booton.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, NJ on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 12 Noon to 4:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 8:30 AM followed by his 9:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Road, Jackson, NJ 08527.
