Obituary of Helen Kowalski

Helen J. Kowalski, 81, of Howell passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Mrs. Kowalski was born in and had lived in Kearny before moving to Howell thirteen years ago. She was a graduate of the Jersey City Medical Center School of Nursing. Helen was the former supervisor for the Kearny Board of Health and worked part time as a registered nurse for the West Hudson Hospital until retiring. Mrs. Kowalski was predeceased by her husband, Joseph in 1994. She is survived by her two daughters and one son-in-law, Janet Pinto and her husband, Germano of Howell, and Carol Kowalski of Neptune; two grandchildren, Victoria and Olivia Pinto; and one sister, Rose Kazalski of Union. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 8:45 AM for her rite of committal followed by her 10:30 AM funeral mass at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 115 S. 3rd Street, Harrison, NJ 07029.
