Obituary of Helena Brennan
Helena Brennan, 90, of Freehold Twp. passed away on Monday, November 1, 2010, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp. Mrs. Brennan was born in Jersey City and had lived in Bound Brook and Mantoloking before moving to Silvermead in Freehold Twp. in 1970.
Mrs. Brennan was a communicant and Eucharistic Minister at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Twp. She was a U.S. Army Air Corps. Veteran serving during World War II. Mrs. Brennan was a member of the Silvermead Community Club, Freehold Seniors and was a volunteer at CentraState Medical Center. She also taught reading for many years at Freehold Schools.
Mrs. Brennan was predeceased by her husband, George A. Brennan, in 1982; a brother, Benjamin Rutkowski; 3 sisters, Stella Doughert, Francis Cichocki and Mary Markieska. She is survived by 3 sons, George A. Brennan, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah; James P. Brennan of Kailua Kona, Hawaii and John J. Brennan of Lakewood, NJ and 6 grandchildren.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend her Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township, NJ 07728. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold, NJ. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Helena's name may be made to the Church Building Fund.
