Obituary of Charles Strickland
Charles E. Strickland, 80, of Freehold Township passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Majestic Oaks, Warminster, PA. Charles was born in Long Branch and was a life-long resident of Freehold Township.
He retired as a School Bus Driver for the Freehold Regional School District. Prior to that, Charles operated the family farm with his parents, Elvin and Ruhama Strickland.
Charles is survived by his wife, Linda Strickland, of Freehold; two sons, Joseph C. Strickland and his wife, Jennifer, of Millstone Twp. and Daniel E. Strickland of Mt. Laurel; three daughters, Sarah E. Strickland of Freehold, Betty Patterson of Jackson and Barbara Tikkanen of Freehold; two grandsons, Nicholas and Kyle; two brothers, Harry Strickland and his wife, MaryAnn, of Kentucky and Richard Strickland and his wife, Virginia, of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, November 8, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
