Obituary of Tina Velez
Tina Marie Velez, 33, of Freehold Township passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Tina was born in Freehold Twp. and had lived in Leander, TX, before returning to Freehold Twp. in 1989. She was a 1995 graduate of Freehold Twp. High School and a 1999 graduate of Rutgers University. Tina worked for Foley Caterpillar, Piscataway, prior to that she worked for Beam Chiropractic, Freehold. She was a member of the Sunrise Optimist Club, the Breast Cancer Support Group at CentraState Medical Center and the Divorce Support Group which met at St. Veronica's. Tina was an avid supporter of the fight against breast cancer, traveling near and far for the cause.
Tina is survived by her husband, Paul; two daughters Ashley Tinervia & Peyton Velez; parents Terry Zeimetz of Freehold Twp., and Alan Zeimetz of Burnet, TX; a sister, Jennifer Zeimetz, of Austin, TX; paternal grandmother, Bridget Ann Zeimetz of Houston, TX; maternal grandparents, Edward and Rosemary Mutchler of Freehold Twp., and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Monday, November 22, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Rite of Committal at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 9:00 AM followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Tina may be made to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, 1331 East Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124.
