Obituary of Lois Binder

Lois B. Binder, 74 passed away peacefully, with her family by her side on December 15, 2010 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Lois was born in Jersey City to Charles & Clara Blume and was raised in Plainfield. She was a 1957 graduate of Beaver College. Lois lived in West Orange and Randolph before retiring to Pinehurst, NC. She returned to Freehold, NJ in 2006 to be closer to family. Lois was a loving, devoted wife and companion to her husband and loved her family dearly. She will be remembered for her love of travel, duplicate bridge, and very hot tea. She loved to entertain, bake, and to visit with her children and grandchildren. Lois was a voracious reader. She was an active member of Temple Shalom, Succasunna and the Sandhills Jewish Congregation, Pinehurst, NC. Lois is survived by her husband of 52 years, John A. Binder; two sons, Allen Binder and his wife, Theresa and Steven Binder and his wife, Shawn O'Hara; two grandchildren, Evan and Cailee; and a brother, John Blume All services are private and a memorial service will be held in May, 2011.
