Obituary of Geraldine Wilson
Geraldine A. Sullivan Wilson, of The Villages, Freehold passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010, at CareOne At Jackson. Mrs. Wilson was born, raised and had lived in Elizabeth before moving to The Villages in 2003. She worked in the RCA Engineering Dept. in Harrison. She was a graduate of Drake Business School. Mrs. Wilson was a parishioner at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, Elizabeth, where she was a member of their Rosary Society and Honor Guard Chairperson for 50 years. She was also a moderator of the Young Ladies Sodality. Mrs. Wilson held many offices in the National Council of Catholic Women. She was a Union County Committee Woman for 52 years and was a member of the Republican Club. Mrs. Wilson was an electioneer. She was a member of the Cancer Society for over 40 years and recipient of many awards. She was also a 40-year member of the March of Dimes, American Heart Association and the American Red Cross.
She was predeceased by her husband, Woodrow "Dennis" Samuel Wilson; 3 brothers, John Sullivan, Eugene Sullivan and Timothy Sullivan; 2 sisters, Helen Maurer and Marion McConnell. She is survived by a son, Eugene Wilson of Toms River and a daughter, Gerry Macallister and her husband, Walter, of Millstone Twp.; 2 grandsons, Edward Wilson Fernandez, and his wife, Kelly, of Chesapeake, VA and Michael Dennis Macallister of Brick; 2 great grandsons, Dillon and Alexander Fernandez of Chesapeake, VA; 3 step grandsons, Scott Macallister of New Eygpt, Thomas Macallister of Honolulu, HI and Jeffrey Macallister of Toms River; a sister-in-law, Sally Sullivan of Sun City, AZ and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Twp. on Thursday, December 30, 2010, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 31, 2010, at St. Genevieve's Catholic Church, 200 Monmouth Road, Elizabeth, NJ.
