Obituary of Gustavo Thomas
Gustavo J. Thomas, 54, of Freehold Township passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the Center for Hope Hospice, Scotch Plains. Gustavo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and had lived in Howell before settling to Freehold Township fourteen years ago. Mr. Thomas was a partner of City Tours, Inc., East Rutherford for over thirty six years. He was a parishioner of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Freehold.
Gustavo is survived by his parents, Albert and Martha Thomas of Secaucus; his wife, Linda Thomas of Freehold Township; two daughters, Alexandra and Stephanie Thomas of Freehold; four brothers, Albert Thomas of Woodbridge, Raymond Thomas of Wayne, Eric Thomas of Rutherford, and Andy Thomas of Miami; and 18 nieces and nephews.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM for his rite of committal followed by his 11:00 AM Requiem Service at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 33 Throckmorton Street, Freehold with the Reverend Frank Hebert officiating. Interment will follow in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Gustavo may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
