Obituary of Mona Maglone

Rev. Mona Maglone, 66, of Lakewood passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011 at home. Mona was born in Lakewood and was a life-long Howell resident until moving to Lakewood in 2006. She retired as the Pastor of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, Toms River. Prior to that, she worked at Freehold Raceway, The Meadowlands and was an insurance salesperson for Prudential Insurance Co. Mona was on the Board at Country Place, Lakewood. She was currently attending graduate school at Georgian Court University. Mona had a passion for painting, enjoyed music and had a love for gardening but her world was her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Ramon Pressburger, and her husband, James Maglone. Mona is survived by two sons, Ernest Tilton and his wife, Francine, of Howell and Darrin Maglone of Brick; three daughters, Stephanie Marrone and her husband, Vincent, of Howell, Lisa Maglone and her husband, Irwin Tubman, of East Brunswick and Tara Maglone of Jackson; nine grandchildren, Heather, Brian, Amanda, Adam, Vincent, Monica, Christopher, Stephen and Zachary; her mother, Dorothea Pressburger of Howell; a brother, Ramon Pressburger of Howell and two sisters, Sissy Wilson of Jackson and Lynda Drolet of PA. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, January 6, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral service at 9:30 AM on Friday, January 7, 2011, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale, NJ.
