Obituary of Yvonne Amalfa
Yvonne Amalfa, 86, of Jackson formerly of Farmingdale, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Yvonne was born in Manchester, NH, raised in Glendola and was a resident of Farmingdale for over sixty years before moving to The Orchards at Bartley, in 2008. She was a nurse's aide at Pineland Nursing Home, Lakewood until her retirement. Yvonne was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Farmingdale. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliaries of the Squankum Fire Department and the V.F.W. of Jackson.
Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; two brothers, Charles and Robert Clickner; and a sister, Stella Duke. She is survived by a son, Joseph J. Amalfa, Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of Jackson; daughter, Rosemarie Hankins and her husband, James, of Manchester; four grandchildren, Darlene Buksar, Dana-Jo Mentone, Joseph Hankins and Sharon Rose Shaw; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and a niece, Dolores Geble.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Monday, January 10, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at 8:00 AM for the Rite of Committal followed by her 9:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, North Main Street, Farmingdale.
