Obituary of Dorothy Curcio
Dorothy L. Curcio, 91, of Cherry Hill formerly of The Villages, Howell, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Silver Care, Cherry Hill. Mrs. Curcio was born in Brooklyn and had lived in South Ozone Park, NY, before moving to New Jersey where she lived for over 50 years.
Mrs. Curcio was employed by Freehold Raceway for almost 20 years until her retirement. Prior to that, she was a bookkeeper at the Lerner Shop, Red Bank. She was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Twp. Dorothy was very active in many social clubs at The Villages where she lived independently until 2006.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert; her parents, Louis and Edith Kain, two brothers, Wesley L. Kain and Charles I. Kain. She is survived by her son, Robert Curcio and his wife, Jo-Anne, of Pt. Pleasant; three grandchildren, Gina Diubaldi, Robert Curcio and Nicholas Curcio; seven great grandchildren; and her nephews, Wesley Kain, Bruce Kain, and her niece, Susan Kain Jurgensen
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, (Route 524) Freehold Township on Friday, January 14, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at 9:00 AM on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp.
