Obituary of Nicholas Fasano
Nicholas J. Fasano, 92, of Freehold Twp. passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp. Mr. Fasano was born in Brooklyn, NY, and had lived there before moving to Silvermead, Freehold Twp. 30 years ago.
He was a career Army veteran serving during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. During his 24 years of service, he received many awards and military medals. After retiring, He was a coordinator New York Dock and Railroad for 9 years. He was also a former Manager of the Towers Hotel. Mr. Fasano was a member of the Silvermead Community Club where he served on many committees He was a member of the Men's Club and the Bacci and Bowling Leagues.
He is survived by his wife, Eileen, of Freehold Twp.; 2 sons, John Fasano and his wife, Regina, of Newtown, PA and Richard Fasano and his wife, Claudette, of Atlanta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Derek Fasano, Brienne Fasano and Calla Fasano; a brother, Ralph Fasano of Mississippi and a sister, Irma Costa of Brooklyn, NY.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home, on Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at 10:00 AM for the Rite of Committal followed by his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp.
