Obituary of Beatrice Rizzo
BEATRICE D. RIZZO, 68, of FREEHOLD, died Saturday, Oct. 13, at home. Mrs. Rizzo was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. and had lived in the Gravesend Section of Brooklyn before settling in Freehold in 2004. She was the executive secretary to the commissioner of the N.Y.C. Housing Authority in Manhattan for five years, retiring in 2003. Mrs. Rizzo was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold, and a former member of the Italian Board of Guardians in Brooklyn.
Mrs. Rizzo is survived by her husband, Robert C. Rizzo of Freehold; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and John Giordano of Holbrook, N.Y. and Valerie and Michael Wechsler of Manalapan; three grandchildren, Phillip Giordano, Lauren Wechsler and Michael Wechsler; and a brother, Thomas DiNardo of Staten Island, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Monday at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Tuesday for the Rite of Committal, followed by her 10 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold.
