Obituary of Greta Krulan
Greta B. Krulan, 93, of Jackson, died on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at Bartley Healthcare. Greta was born in Clifton and had lived there until retiring to Florida in 1979 and returning to New Jersey in 2002.
She loved restaurants with "ambiance," meaning anywhere within sight of a body of water. Greta was an avid bowler and had the trophies to prove it. She also loved to collect stuffed animals, especially teddy bears. In addition to instilling a love of music in her children, Greta played the piano and the organ. She could read music, but her real talent was playing by ear. Once she heard a song, she could play it.
Greta was predeceased by her husband, Chester and a sister, Eleanor Modig. She is survived by her children, Stephanie Harakal of Howell; Kathleen Starrick of Woodland Park; Lisbeth Justice of Kent, Ohio; Jeffrey Krulan of Florida; and Steven Krulan of Montague; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and two and 2/3 great great grandchildren.
