Obituary of Carol Thompson

Carol Thompson, 74, of Farmingdale passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011 at home. Mrs. Thompson was born in Neptune, was raised and had lived in Wall Township before settling to Farmingdale in 1962. She was a homemaker. Carol was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Farmingdale for over 60 years, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women. Carol was a people person who always greeted you with a smile. She was delighted in doing her work behind the scenes and was always willing to help out wherever she was needed. Carol was predeceased by her brother, George Brown. She is survived by her husband, John M. Thompson of Farmingdale; her son and daughter-in-law, John Thompson and his wife, Monica of Howell; her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Lane and her husband, John of Tinton Falls; and two grandchildren, Michael and Emily Lane. Relatives and friends may gather at the Clayton and McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Friday, February 11, 2011 from 10:00 AM until her 11:00 AM memorial service at the funeral home.
