Obituary of Randall Goldsmith
Randall F. Goldsmith, 55, of Farmingdale passed away at home on Tuesday, February 8th. He was born in Perth Amboy, raised in Edison and had lived in Farmingdale for the last 18 years. He attended Brookdale College where he played basketball and was the team's leading scorer in his Freshman Year. After graduating third in his class from Devry Institute, he joined his brothers in the family insulation business, G.B.I. of Farmingdale with whom he was associated for the last 22 years. He was a member of the Local 89 Asbestos Worker's Union of Philadelphia.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Marilyn Goldsmith and his nephew, Reed Goldsmith. Surviving are 3 brothers, Thomas Goldsmith and his wife, Debra, Michael Goldsmith and his wife, Nancy, both of Farmingdale and Ronald Goldsmith and his wife, Judi, of Manahawkin; a sister, Cathy Goldsmith of Jackson; 10 nieces and nephews, Mallory, Wesley, Ali, Lindsay, Rachel, Bridget, Kelly, Tyler, Megan and Molly.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Friday, February 11th from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend his funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
