Obituary of George Sabol
George J. Sabol, 96, of Silvermead, Freehold Township passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Wedgwood Gardens Care Center, Freehold Township. Mr. Sabol was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Old Bridge and Sayreville before settling to Freehold Township in 1969. He was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold. George was a life member of the V.F.W Post #15031, Trenton. Mr. Sabol was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during World War II. He was the past president of the Silvermead Social Club, where he was very active, as well as being a member of the Freehold Township Seniors.
George was predeceased by his wife, Emily in 2000. He is survived by his two daughters, Carol Ann Tomarch and her husband, Frank of Sayreville; and Sister Susan Sabol, CSJ of Long Island; one grandson, Vincent Tomarch and his wife, Robin of Parlin; and two great grandchildren, Nicoletta and Joey.
Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 10:00 AM for his rite of committal followed by his 11:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, Freehold.
