Obituary of Nicholas Russo

Nicholas A. Russo, 80, of Allentown passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, surrounded by his family. Nick was born in Brooklyn and had lived there until moving to Manalapan and then Freehold before settling to Allentown. He worked for Merrill Lynch, New York City for over 20 years until his retirement in 1991. Nick was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Allentown and a former parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Virginia Russo of Allentown; one son, Michael Russo and his wife, Maryann of Howell; one daughter, Stephanie Marques and her husband, Tony of Allentown; six grandchildren, Matthew, Craig, Kellie, Sarah, Katie, and Nicholas; one brother, Teddy Russo of FL.; and one sister, Marie Nasta of Monroe Twp. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 9:00 AM for his rite of committal, followed by his 10:00 AM funeral mass at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Chapel, McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold.
