Obituary of Henry Schroeder

Henry F. Schroeder, 91, of Manalapan Township passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Better known as Harry or Poppop, he was born in Brooklyn, raised in Jersey City and had lived in West Keansburg before moving to Manalapan in 1961. Harry was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during World War II, and a communicant of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Manalapan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Evelyn in 2005. He is survived by one son, Robert J. Schroeder of Manalapan; two grandchildren, Douglas H. Schroeder and his wife, Donna B. and Heather S. Daly and her husband, Robert J.; and six great grandchildren: Anna R., Catherine E., and Hayden H. Schroeder, Ruthi M., Robert J. and Thomas H. Daly. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by his 11:00 AM funeral mass at St. Thomas More R.C. Church, 186 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery, Freehold.
