Condolences
Although I have not seen Aunt Kate in many years, I will forever hold fond memories of holidays (she and Uncle Walt always had the cool train set up under the Christmas tree! how fun it was to sit under the tree and be mesmerized by the train as it went round and round over the twinkly "snow"), birthday parties (yum! always loved the rubbery bottom of her cakes because her stove never cooked them correctly at the right temperature)and family get togethers. BUT what I will always remember the most were the summers.
Living out "in the country" of New Jersey, she had the fresh corn fields behind her, cows around the corner, and a huge garden of her own where we'd spend summer days picking fresh snap peas, green beans, radishes, tomatoes and more. Fabulous fresh veggies. And then we'd sit outside and drink Koolaid (red for me please!) while we shucked peas, pulled of leaves, husked corn, and just enjoyed the fruits of our labor when we cooked the veggie for dinner.
I'll smell the country air, feel the corn husks and silk in my hands, and hear Aunt Kate laugh as we enjoyed another summer day together.
God speed Aunt Kate. I know you watch over us all now. And next time I pull silk off corn (even though it's not sweet Jersey corn!) I hope I hear you laugh and tell me that I'm doing an okay job.
Hugs and Love -Deb
She will be truly missed, our Prayers and Thoughts go out to all of you.
Love Always,
Uncle Bobby & Sharon
I have many wonderful memories of Aunt Kate and Uncle Walt especially when we were little girls. Every summer I was able to spend some time at their home where I admired Aunt Kate's beautiful collection of violets, enjoyed the beautiful breezes in the windows which blew across the fields and enjoyed the smell of Uncle Walt's pipe smoke. Aunt Kate always had a beautiful display of a snow village under her Christmas tree. We visited her every year to enjoy it. And what a thrill when Baby Bonnie was born! That made our summer trips even more fun! -- The photos on this site are wonderful and bring back many memories of Aunt Kate and Uncle Walt who were wonderful people! Bonnie, Rick, Patricia, Lauren, Craig and Joseph: All of our family is thinking of you at this time. We have been blessed to share many happy occasions with you over the years and now we want you to know that we care very much and are praying for you at this time of loss. -- Love, Judy and Bill Fraser
