Obituary of Anna Kipila

Anna H. Kipila, 87, of Howell Township, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood. Anna was born in Perth Amboy, and had lived in Fords and Laurence Harbor before settling to Howell. She worked as a seamstress at Charles Komar Industries, South Amboy until her retirement. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Michael in 1965, her brother, Andrew Zajacek in 2011. She is survived by three sons, Michael Kipila and his wife, Donna of Barnegat, Thomas Kipila and his wife, Sandy of Toms River, and Edmund "Kip" Kipila and his wife, Cathy of Farmingdale; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mariann Zajacek of Woodbridge; and Marilyn Lewis of Cliffwood Beach, who was like a daughter to Anna. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524) Freehold Township on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 8:00 AM for her rite of committal followed by her 9:00 AM funeral mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Chapel, North Main Street, Farmingdale.
