Obituary of Mildred Masters

Mildred Masters, 87, of Englishtown passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Brandywine Assisted Living. Mildred was born and raised in Rahway and had lived in Clark and Surrey Downs, Howell before moving to Brandywine, Englishtown in 2009. She was the Valedictorian of Rahway High School, Class of 1941. Mildred was a former member of the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church, Rahway and the Calvary Chapel, Old Bridge. She was an avid bowler and played cards with the girls at Surrey Downs. Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Bart Masters; a brother, Bobby Brown; and a sister, Lillian Brien. She is survived by three sons, Richard Bart Masters and his wife, Brenda, of Anderson, South Carolina, Wayne Bart Masters and his wife, Linda, of Morganville, and Drs. David Bart Masters and his wife, Linda of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Evelyn "Nonnie" Roberts of Rahway; and a dear friend, Jane Taylor, of Rahway. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Sunday, April 17, 2011 from 12:00 Noon to 3:30 PM with her funeral service to follow. Interment will be from the funeral home at 8:00 AM on Monday, April 18, 2011 in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle NJ Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
