Obituary of Elizabeth Megill
Elizabeth Patten Megill, 82, of Howell passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Meridian Subacute Rehab., Wall, NJ. Mrs. Megill was born at home in Freehold Township on a very snowy day. Her Mother was in labor out in the snow helping her Dad crank up his car so he could get to work. Mrs. Megill was a life-long area resident. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Freehold. Mrs. Megill was a volunteer and chairman of the Coffee Shop at Freehold Area Hospital (CentraState), Freehold. She was a graduate of St. Vincent's School of Nursing, Montclair, NJ, Class of 1952.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Megill, in 1989, and a stepson, John "Jack" T. Megill in 1990 and a son, H. Russell P. Megill in 2005; two sisters, Gloria P. Solinski and Jeannette P. Blair; a brother, Adrian R. Patten. She is survived by a son, William A. Megill, and his wife, Margie, of Howell; her very precious grandchildren, Adam C. Megill and Emily A. Megill; Stepson, Richard C. Megill and his wife, Carol, of Jackson; 3 sisters, Margaret Snyder of Freehold, Alice Corrigan of Toms River and Joan P. Biddle of Farmingdale and a special brother, George D. Patten of Howell, NJ.

Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
