Obituary of Georgiana Peacock

Georgiana Peacock, 93, of Farmingdale, died on Sunday, May 29, at home. Georgiana was born, raised and had lived in New York City before moving to Farmingdale in 1948. She retired from CECOM, Fort Monmouth in 1973. Along with her husband, Donald, Georgiana was a founding member of the American Legion, Post 178, Farmingdale and was a former secretary at the Post. She was predeceased by her love of her life, her husband of 66 years, Donald J. Peacock in 2008 and a brother, Daniel Cattes. Georgiana is survived by countless friends that have become family. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM with her funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM.
