Obituary of Myron Reed

Myron S. Reed, 68, Freehold Township, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He was born in the Adelphia section of Howell Township, and was a lifelong resident of Freehold Township. Myron was the owner of M.S. Reed, Inc. and Reed Screed Sales and Service, both of Freehold. He was a life member of the Adelphia Fire Company and served as Chief in the 1970s. Surviving are his wife, Barbara A. Reed of Freehold; three sons, Douglas Reed and his wife, Patsy, of Jackson, Myron S. Reed, Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Howell, and Gregory Reed and his fiancée, Laureen Mueller of Howell; one daughter, Candace Jablonski and her husband, Joseph, of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, James Reed of Adelphia and Albert Reed of West Liberty, Iowa. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township, on Friday, June 3, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends may gather at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the funeral home for his funeral service. Interment will follow in Adelphia Cemetery, Howell Township, NJ.
