Obituary of Suzanne Voorhees

Suzanne Voorhees, 75, of Howell passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Bartley Healthcare in Jackson. Mrs. Voorhees was born in Montclair, NJ, and had lived in Glen Ridge and Manasquan before moving to Howell in 1979. She was in banking for 47 years; most recently as a bank teller with PNC Bank, at their Howell Branch. Prior to that, she was a platform assistant for Mid-Lantic Bank in Howell. She was predeceased by her husband, David, in 1986. She is survived by two stepsons, David Voorhees of Trenton, FL and Robert Voorhees of Portland, OR; three stepdaughters, Ruth Vitola, Betty Ann Gravatt and JoAnn Voorhees all of Farmingdale; a brother, Raymond Scheffler, Jr. and his wife, Nancy, of Pennsylvania; a sister, Henriette Foster of Rochester, NY; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a nephew, Benjamin Scheffler and his wife, Patricia, and a niece, Debra Kennedy, and her husband, Carl. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Monday, June 13, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to her funeral service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the funeral home with Rev. Tom Detamore officiating.
