Obituary of Patricia Osmundsen
Patricia "Pattie" C. Osmundsen, 63, of Howell died on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ, surrounded by her family after a courageous three year battle with stage 4 ovarian cancer. Pattie was born in Staten Island, NY and had lived in the Arthur Kills section until moving to Howell in 1985. She was a graduate of Port Richmond High School and received her bachelor's and master degrees from Wagner College. Pattie worked as a permanent substitute for special needs children for the Middlesex County VoTech and as a secretary at World Cup All-Star Cheerleading, Freehold until becoming disabled. Prior to that, she worked at Freehold Borough High School and was the JV Cheerleading Coach. Pattie started her teaching career at numerous catholic schools throughout Staten Island.
She enjoyed shopping on the weekends, teaching her students and helping others. Pattie loved her trips to Atlantic City and Myrtle Beach. She tanned on the beach at Manasquan and spent time at Denise's and Robin's pools. Pattie cherished her cheerleading trips, especially "going out". She did not have much family but considered her friends as family. Pattie fought her disease with every ounce but knew it was time to be with her beloved Artie.
She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 2001.
