Obituary of Josephine Mayer

Josephine Mayer, 84, of Howell, passed away on Monday, June 13, 2011, at Geraldine L. Thompson Medical Home, Wall, NJ. Mrs. Mayer was born and raised in Manhattan and had lived in Brooklyn and Freehold before moving to Howell in 1994. She was a sales associate in Herald Square, Manhattan. Mrs. Mayer was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, in 1997; a son, Ronald, in 1988 a brother Joseph Cascio and a sister, S. Josephine. She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Mayer, Jr. and his wife, Rita, of Staten Island and Victor Mayer and his wife, Rosemarie, of Howell; seven grandchildren, Christina, Marianna, Lawrence III, Teresa, Donna, Victor, Jr. and Andrea; and two great grandchildren, Madison and Logan. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend her Funeral service at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
