Obituary of Galina Turitzin

Galina Turitzin, 91, of Middletown, passed away on June 19, 2011 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. Galina was born in Kharkov, Ukraine where she graduated from the University of Kharkov with a degree in dentistry. She came to the U.S. in 1951 settling in Staten Island before moving to Middletown in 1989. Galina was a member of St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Howell. She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander, in 2001. Galina is survived by her son, Paul Turitzin and his wife, Eugenia of Middletown; Ellen Gubbenet and her husband, Anatol of Branchburg; and four grandsons, Alexander, Victor, Ian, and Nicholas; and her beloved dog, Oreo. Pannyhida will be at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, 200 Alexander Ave., Howell, on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Liturgy at the Cathedral on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Novo-Diveevo Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY.
