Obituary of Johanna Carraher

Johanna Carraher, 72, of Freehold, NJ, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Twp. Mrs. Carraher was born in Brooklyn and had lived in Staten Island before moving to Freehold 10 years ago. She worked in operations support for Smith Barney in New York until her retirement. Mrs. Carraher was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Twp. She was a former parishioner of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Eltonville, Staten Island where she was a Columbiette and a member of their PTA. She was also a volunteer at Richmond Hospital. Mrs. Carraher was predeceased by her son, James, in 2001. Mrs. Carraher is survived by her husband, Michael J., of Freehold; one daughter, Eileen Kane her husband, Edward, of Freehold Twp.; four grandchildren; one brother, Nicholas Terzo, of Las Vegas and two sisters, Terry Terzo of Brooklyn and Linda Terzo of Freehold, NJ. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Twp. on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Friends and relatives may gather at 9:00 AM on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at the funeral home for the Rite of Committal followed by her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Twp. Entombment will follow in St. Gabriel's Mausoleum, Marlboro, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Johanna may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
