Obituary of Robert Johnson

Robert "Bob" E. Johnson, 67 of Howell passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011 at CentraState Medical Center surrounded by his loving family and friends. Bob was born in Neptune and raised in Freehold Township before moving to Howell in 1966. He retired in 2002 as a Sales Representative for Nabisco/Kraft working in Monmouth and Ocean Counties after 34 years. Prior to that, Bob was a store manager for Norkus Brothers Foodtown. He was a devoted life member of the Freehold Fin, Fur and Feather Sportsman Club serving as a former Vice President and was a two term President. Bob was a life member and certified DCM Instructor of the NRA. Bob is predeceased by his parents, Edward "Eugene" and Anne Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gail Johnson of Howell; a daughter, Jeanne Tirone and her husband, Jerry of Freehold Township; a son, Robert Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Gina of Forked River; four grandchildren, Amy Moiseyev, Daniel Moiseyev, Richard Johnson, and Christopher Johnson; a brother, E. Johnny Johnson, Jr. and his wife, Marie of Howell; two sisters, K. Susan Bennett of Freehold Twp. and Debbie Rios and her husband, Mario of Brick; dear friends, Geri & Joe Shearn of Toms River; and his faithful canine companion, Coal Bear. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 8:30 PM with his funeral service to follow at 8:30 PM.
